Luxury vinyl tile (LVT) is a high-end vinyl flooring which is waterproof (making it ideal for kitchens and bathrooms) and many of the click and lock varieties can be installed over existing flooring. With the proper adhesive, you can install the luxury vinyl flooring over concrete, laminate, vinyl, solid hardwood, engineered wood, ceramic and stone tile. Generally, there is nothing lower floor covering's material would not work with covering it with the luxury vinyl flooring. One thing to keep in mind is vinyl flooring will not be effectively bridge over or smooth out adhesive imperfections and or imperfections in the original flooring.
